Blooms

Camera detail:
Canon EOS 450D
Macro lens with flashring
ISO 400
Focal lenght 100mm

I took this photo in Struisbaai (SA) around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The native name for the flower is "Hotnotsvei". I love the suspension of the small particles within the flower!!

  2. I can see that we have a lot in common.... photographing flowers. It will be a lot of fun seeing unusual blooms from SA. However, you may see some from me that you recognize since many of our plants are originally from your part of the world. I have borrowed a 1:1 macro lens from a friend, so hope to get some good close-ups before she takes it back....

  3. You are in the world of flower lovers here, LOL. That is a really cool macro. Its almost creepy like an octopus in the middle. I love macro or micro as Nikon calls them. Its as if we can visit a world almost too small for the naked eye. Great job.

  8. I like this! Would make a nice poster for your patients to look at while you doing "mean things" to their mouth. Do you ever hang your own pics in the office?
